It started with a question on our own boat.
ScubaScreen began while we were living and diving aboard our catamaran in the Bay Islands of Honduras. The ocean was our home, and getting in the water was part of everyday life.
We started noticing how little coral there was around some of the busiest swimming spots. Back aboard, we would watch the suds from our showers go overboard into that same sea. It made us stop and ask: what was actually in the products we were using every day?
That question became the start of ScubaScreen.
We also knew how frustrating mineral sunscreen could be. We wanted protection that was easy to apply, without the thick, whitening finish that made us reluctant to use it. And we wanted hair care that felt like a little holiday luxury, with a refreshing Mojito scent and fewer post-dive tangles.
So we set out to make products people would love using, with reef-conscious ingredient choices and more thought behind every bottle.
