Dive-Trip Packing List: Sun, Hair and Gear Essentials

The Getaway Bundle: ScubaScreen SPF 30, Awash and Wreck Repair with an ocean splash

The mask is in. The fins are packed. Your certification card is on your phone. Before you zip the bag, leave room for the small essentials that make the hours between dives more comfortable.

This dive-trip packing list covers the boat, the water and the shower afterwards.

1. Check your dive kit with your operator

Confirm what is supplied and what you need to bring: mask, fins, exposure protection, dive computer and any required safety equipment. Add proof of certification, insurance details and booking documents. Keep a dry copy of important contacts with your travel paperwork.

2. Pack for time in the sun

A hat, sunglasses and a cover-up deserve space beside your towel. For exposed skin, pack ScubaScreen SPF 30 mineral sunscreen, designed to go on clear with a non-greasy, fragrance-free finish.

Follow the bottle’s directions, including applying 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapplying as directed after swimming, sweating or towel drying. A morning application is not your whole day’s routine. Check your destination and operator’s sunscreen requirements before travelling.

3. Give post-dive hair its own plan

Pack a wide-tooth comb and hair ties that work comfortably with your mask. For the comb-through afterwards, Wreck Repair leave-in conditioner helps detangle salt-tangled hair and leaves it feeling softer and smoother.

Spray onto clean, damp hair, comb through and leave in. No extra rinse needed. Its tangerine-and-spearmint Mojito scent brings a little luxury to the end of a dive day.

4. Keep shower essentials simple

Awash Shampoo & Body Wash cleanses hair and skin in one bottle. Add your usual personal toiletries and a separate bag for wet kit. Check your accommodation’s facilities rather than assuming towels or toiletries are supplied.

5. Do the final travel check

Check passport and entry requirements, luggage allowances and your departure airport’s liquids rules. Each Getaway bottle holds 100 ml; pack liquids as required for your route.

For sun protection, a post-dive wash and easier detangling together, explore The Getaway Bundle: SPF 30, Awash and Wreck Repair. Three essentials, ready for your next ocean day.
